A thousand times grateful

One thousand subscribers. Wow. I remember what it was like when we hit the first one hundred subscribers, and it already felt like an impossibility. Machine Zealots was actually our second attempt at something better; our first online automotive experience was with project Spades V6, some of you may have remembered this, and that channel has only around 60 subscribers. We ran that channel for a year, and it never got the traction that Machine Zealots has.

We are not boasting in our accomplishments; we could not have gotten where we are if it wasn't for your support, and the grace of God. Thank you, each and every one of you for sticking around and watching us grow. Two thousand subscribers feels like an impossibility, but we'll continue to bring you great content and hopefully two thousand will be around the corner.

In other news, Apex Performance has delivered many aftermarket parts for the STI which will be revealed to you guys in a video. Thank you Apex Performance for your support!

900

Thank you guys for the continual support on Machine Zealots. We reached 900 subscribers today, and we hope to see more people join as time goes by. We appreciate when you guys comment, and like our videos, it tells us how we can improve on future episodes. Yes, I do admit some of our videos may not be as successful as others, but we are glad you guys are sticking around anyway.

Below is an image from our upcoming episode where we'll have our first official DIY video on the VW Golf GTI. Hope you guys stay tuned!

Stolen Property

Yesterday afternoon, a concerned viewer sent Machine Zealots a private message on YouTube. They warned us that our video was being ripped off and used on another channel. With the link provided, I checked it out, and as it turned out, someone was indeed stealing our videos for their own channel.

Side by side channel comparison. Identical episodes, uploaded on different dates, and obviously the video is of our creation.

I was sort of shocked, nothing like this has happened to us before. I would say I'm somewhat flattered, because they might have seen some value for them to steal it. However, we aren't going to allow others to upload our videos without prior communication, and granted permission from us.

At this time, we have already filed a copyright claim with YouTube, and they will proceed with the investigation. In the meantime, we don't know if there are any other videos out there that were stolen from us.

If you ever find any of our videos, or even segments of our videos on other channels, please contact us. We would greatly appreciate your help and support.

Thank you!

400 Subscribers

Last night, at 11:52 PM, the Machine Zealots YouTube channel reached 400 subscribers. As usual, a couple of subscribers decided to drop out over the months, but the loyal viewers seem to keep growing. Each week I thank a couple of you subscribers, and it seems that the Machine Zealots videos are reaching an international audience. I've seen people from all across the world subscribe to the channel, and I want to say thank you guys so much. I wish I could thank each of you individually in your native language as well.

I've gotten to talk to some of you guys via YouTube and Facebook, and I have to say, it's been an honor talking and getting to know you guys. Some of you have even posted images of your completed projects and thanking us for our tutorial videos. Very cool!

Thanks Blair and Edson for sharing your projects with the rest of us! Your cars look fantastic!

On a production note, Puyang and I have been discussing how to keep this show going. Most importantly, how we should pace out the show so the episodes feel balanced, and air on time for you guys. We've come to a conclusion that each season will be comprised of 18 YouTube episodes.

Usually we air episodes every two weeks. Unless of emergencies or technical difficulties, this pattern won't change. However, because Machine Zealots is after all a production budgeted from our own pockets, there are limitations of how much we can do per season. Therefore, an episode every two weeks would only take up 36 weeks in a year. The other 16 weeks will be off time that Puyang and I get to rest, make money, and bank footage for episodes.

There are 15 episodes currently released this season, so you can expect three more episodes this year. We'll reveal what we have planned for 2013 later on.

Thanks again for all the support, without you guys, we wouldn't be doing this.

Two Hundred

Today was the day Machine Zealots gained 200 of you lovely subscribers! Of course, throughout the year we've lost a couple of people, but for the 200 of you who stayed, you guys are awesome. We've had the opportunity to meet some of you, and we got to talk to the rest of you guys online. Each and every one of you guys are great.

I'm receiving a package, estimated to arrive in the next couple of days. I'll post some teaser pictures when it arrives. I also have the Apex Performance sponsored Stainless Steel Brake Lines to install as well.

Anyway, since the weather is getting a lot warmer, I plan on shooting a lot more driving videos, since you guys seem to want to see that more.

Well, that's it for now! Stay tuned!

100 Youtube Subscribers

Yesterday Machine Zealots finally hit 100 subscribers! Yay! Eventhough it took us around seven months to achieve this number, it still feels like a huge accomplishment to us.

Polaroid moment!

Thanks to everyone who subscribed, and all of the viewers who come back on a regular basis. As always, if you guys have any questions or comments for us, please leave a comment on Youtube, Facebook, or even the Blog, and we will gladly reply you.
